From 2022, certain limited information on the beneficial ownership of trusts who have registered on the Trust Registration Service (TRS) as a registrable express trust can also be subject to third party access requests. This cannot be shared where the beneficial owner lacks mental capacity.
 

We await clarification on the position where beneficiaries request a copy of information held by the register.
